"With Scissors in Hand ... "

This month our theme for our Story Swap is stories that feature Scissors.

Scissors can be found in the kitchen, the craft room, the garden, the tailors' shop, the office, at a medical facility, hairdressers, factory, school classroom, or at a crime scene!

Will the scissors be used for creative and crafty or criminal purposes? Perhaps they will be used for practical, mysterious, magical or healing reasons.

There are a number of traditional folktales that feature scissors in their narratives and we have used or seen the wonderful results of the use of this versatile tool. Whether the story be a folktale, fact, fiction or fantasy, all stories must include the line .. “With scissors in hand …”

If you would like to tell a prepared story of 5-6 minutes email, Christine Carlton, at  storyaus@gmail.com to be put on the list to tell a story. (stories are kept short so that a number of people have the opportunity to tell)

This is a free online event organised by the Australian Storytelling Guild (NSW)  Come as a listener or teller. All welcome.
