'Weaving Stories Together' - NSW Storytelling Conference

About Conference:

Hosted by the Australian Storytelling Guild (NSW) this conference in July 23- 25, promises to provide a great opportunity for listeners and tellers of stories to develop skills, enjoy performances and interact with others who have a love of Storytelling.

The theme is "Weaving Stories Together" – Drawing the threads of tales old and new together with life experience to create new patterns for understanding, empowerment and enjoyment.

Professional and personal development ideal for:

• Primary and Secondary classroom teachers of Drama, English, Literacy

• Early Childhood educators • Oral historians • Librarians • Counsellors

• Parents and grandparents • Health and welfare workers • All who love storytelling

Registration for the whole conference includes:

• Choice of workshop offerings and participation in 5 practical workshop sessions

• Friday evening welcoming soiree and entertaining story slam

• Saturday night dinner

• Saturday night Storytelling Concert

• Sunday afternoon Family Concert

• Conference community plenary sessions

• Informal story circles and story swaps
